Ravenous features Bytox

I have been searching for this product my entire life. Ok, maybe not my entire life but certainly since the day I graduated from college, which somehow also became the day my hangovers went from bad to just plain ugly. What is it about becoming any actual adult that means after two glasses of wine on a Wednesday you are absolutely guaranteed a headache the next day? And a reunion weekend with your college friends? Forget it.

At the risk of sounding like a complete lush, I am here to tell you about my new favorite thing: the “hangover prevention patch,”Bytox.

How does it work? Stick this badboy on your skin 45 minutes before you start drinking and keep it on 8 hours after you stop. Simple.

I was skeptical too, but I thought it was worth a shot and I really gave it a good test. I won’t tell you exactly how much I drank, but let’s just say it was a marathon, not a sprint, and involved tequila and wine. I woke up the next day without a headache and my stomach felt fine. I felt oddly guilty – surely after all I drank I was supposed to have a hangover? But no, I actually felt great. And my friend, who went drink for drink with me, let’s just say she was not feeling great.

If you’re really interested in what it’s made of: Bytox is a specially-formulated hangover prevention patch which effectively replenishes the vital levels of vitamins and nutrients your body loses when you consume alcohol (which would explain why I smelled like a multivitamin all night – a small price to pay).   The innovative combination of B vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients help keep your body hydrated, which means you can enjoy a hangover-free morning. Basically your body will quickly replenish what’s lost during the consumption of alcohol.

Plus, unlike the alcohol consumed, the patch has zero calories. Like I said: New. Favorite. Thing.

Style Flavors features Bytox

If there is one thing I will never give up, it’s alcohol. I don’t smoke, I exercise, I eat healthily and I try to get as much sleep as I can. Alcohol is the one thing that isn’t good for me that I enjoy very much. That said, I think the reason why I enjoy it so much is that my body processes it very well. I don’t turn red and I don’t get headaches.

But what I do sometimes experience is a sluggishness. The kind that makes you want to stay in bed the whole day. The kind that leaves you horribly unsure of what you want – are you hungry? are you thirsty? That’s not a fun feeling and by all means, it’s terribly unproductive. So when I was introduced to this patch from Bytox touting to actually help prevent a hangover, I was both intrigued and skeptical.

This patch contains a big dose of Vitamin B complex vitamins in addition to many other nutrients. Essentially, it helps replenishes what is lost in the process of alcohol consumption.

I thus decided to put this to the test. All you need to do is stick this on a hairless part of your body – your back, your shoulders etc before you start drinking and go about your night. I mixed my drinks and I bar and club hopped on several of my review nights. Doing shots and getting doubles and just pushing it to see how well this patch would work.

And personally, it works. I am more aware of things the next day and I feel more awake. I don’t experience much sluggishness and if I do, it doesn’t last long. The thing is, one is supposed to keep the patch on for 8 hours after your last drink which essentially means going to bed with it. It’s not so much of an issue but I find that the patch does leave a sticky film that takes a bit of effort to wash off.

Of course, with or without the patch, I always try to make sure I drink as much water as I can when I get home and during my night out. Sleeping enough also helps too. This isn’t a miracle patch. It doesn’t affect the high you get from alcohol and neither will it stop one from acting out under the influence of alcohol. It just makes the next day easier. Which makes this a great thing to bring with you on work trips when you have to entertain and drink and still be expected to perform the next day.

The Hangover: Getting Over the Bad Side of a Good Night

AIN’T NO FUN IF THE HOMIES FEEL LIKE THEY DIED THE NEXT DAY

We’ve heard it all before: Just have another drink! Take two Tylenol! Bite into a piece of ginger with a side of coffee while taking a nice hot bath. The truth is: the best way to ease your hangover is to stop it before it starts.  Barring the painfully obvious solution of simply knowing your limits, there are some preventative measures you can take to alleviate the symptoms of a hangover.

-Drink as much water as possible. Alcohol is a diuretic, so all of those rushed trips to the bathroom weren’t just about debriefing your friends or escaping your date but more so about dehydrating your system. Stagnate your drinks with glasses of water and it’ll reduce the pain of that all too familiar headache in the morning.

-Sustenance! Food provides a cushion in your intestines that slows down the effects of alcohol.

Review – Bytox Hangover Prevention Remedy Patch

by: A History of Drinking

Editor’s Note: We recently received some samples of the Bytox anti-hangover patches and wanted to give the a proper try-out. Now being that I’m currently “trading-paint” with forty years of age, I decided to let our new A History of Drinking college intern, Ashleigh give them the torture test. Here’s her account below:

I recently used one on my 22nd birthday and since my 21st birthday was awful I knew I had to do this one up good. I unfortunately had a final the next day so I was putting all my hope in this patch in order to wake up and be able to function the next day.

From what I can remember I had a margarita, 4 beers, 3 shots, and 2 mixed drinks throughout the course of the night. This night was the first night in a while that I actually blacked out a little bit, but, somehow managed to set my alarm and wake up in the morning, which was a miracle.

I went ahead and left the patch on for the majority of the next day and did not feel like I was going to be sick at all and surprisingly, I did not even have a headache. I would recommend these patches if you want to go “balls to the wall” and get wasted or if you just want to wake up the next morning not feeling like hell on earth and need to be a functioning adult! The patches work wonderfully.

Editor’s note (again): We here at AHod advise all of our drinkers to drink responsibly…

Hangover Cures Myth or Reality? Independent investigation on Bytox revealed

On December 22, 2011 DigBoston.com posted the following story.

LUPEC: ALL I WANT FOR XMAS IS TO STOP HURTING

LU_HangoverEraser

Hangover cures: myth or reality?

Experience has taught us that there is no cure for a lack of self control. When you have a Fernet-drinking contest with yourself or polish off a bowl of something labeled “Blackout Punch,” that way danger lies.

Thus, we were skeptical of the publicist’s pitch that promised us a “special hangover remedy carefully marketed it in an easy-to-use, safe patch.” What was the secret, snake oil and unicorn tears? Or some blend chemicals that would cause cancer sometime down the road? And really, do these people understand how much we drink?

Cursory investigation revealed this cure, Bytox, to be nothing more than a time-release patch designed to replenish the vitamins and nutrients the body loses when consuming mass quantities of alcohol. That we had to try, if for no other reason than to pass the good word of this magic patch on to you should it work. Our civic duty.

We enlisted a dozen drinkers on two separate occasions to test this wonder. In the name of research they mixing blackout punch with champagne with beer with fernet and with wine. Very few made it through the night without some grey, hazy patches.

And the patch totally worked.

Several drinkers polled still felt rough the next day, probably because like most drunk people, they failed to follow the instructions. But if the physical symptoms of the hangover weren’t totally absent, in each case they were reduced. The metaphysical symptoms—the post drunk shame spiral that prompts a barrage of texts apologizing for blacking out and not paying the tab only to realise that you actually picked up the tab for the entire bar—well, that’s another story.

In short, Bytox is a not-scary, vitamin-based hangover cure that works. But if you misplace your dignity and self respect while imbibing, well there’s no magic patch for that. Sip on one of these before setting out to find them.

WARNING: Consumption of alcohol may create the illusion that you are tougher, smarter and more handsome than some really, really big guy named FRANZ.

WARNING: Consumption of alcohol may lead you to believe that ex-lovers are really dying for you to telephone them at four in the morning.

WARNING: Consumption of alcohol may actually CAUSE pregnancy.

WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may make you think you can logically converse with members of the opposite sex without spitting.

The Most Expensive Alcoholic Beverages in the World

At Bytox, we appreciate a fun night out – but sometimes we don’t appreciate the impact it can have on our bank accounts.  But if you think that those $16 martinis are bad enough, take a look at what we found on the most expensive alcoholic beverages in the world!

First up is the king of all expensive alcoholic beverages – the Henri IV Dudognon Heritage, a bottle of some of the world’s finest and most expensive champagne.  From France’s prestigious Cognac Grande Champagne region, which is unparalleled by any other region for producing amazing champagne, this champagne has been aged for over 100 years.

One would think that having 100-year-old champagne would be luxurious enough, but apparently the manufacturers were not satisfied – this champagne is kept in a 24 karat gold and platinum silver decanter, which is decorated with exquisitely cut diamonds.  What should you expect to shell out if you wanted to buy yourself a bottle of this champagne? Try a whopping $1.9 million.  At this price, you can expect that only the mega-wealthy will be sampling Henri IV Dudognon Heritage.

Do your tastes tend to favor alcoholic beverages that are produced more south of the border?  Then try Tequila Ley .925, which is easily the world’s most expensive tequila.  The Tequila Ley .925, which is valued at over $1.3 million, is so expensive due to the jaw-dropping bottle that it’s kept in – try a flask made entirely of 6,000 cut diamonds.

Of course, no list of alcoholic beverages would be complete without vodka – and there’s definitely lots of competition for the most expensive vodka available.  However, nothing stands out like DIVA Premium Vodka, which is distilled using the kinds of precious gems usually reserved for fine jewelry.  Each bottle of DIVA Premium Vodka is decorated with a different type of precious stone – so a bottle could set you back anywhere from $4000 to $1 million, depending on your preference.  With a price tag equivalent to the purchase price of a mansion in some parts of the world, its no wonder that this company caters strictly to the fabulously wealthy.

After conducting this research, we’ve definitely decided that not only is alcohol one of the most expensive habits out there, but how much you spend on it is all about perspective.

But no matter how much you spend on your drinks, make sure you put on your Bytox patch before you go out – nothing would be worse than regretting those expensive drinks you just purchased!

Shocking Celeb News: Justin Bieber Fathered a Child in a Drunken Hook-Up?

Whether you consider yourself a Belieber or can’t stand the sight of the Canadian pop superstar, there’s no denying that Justin Bieber tends to be a constant fixture on the entertainment news circuit.  Usually he makes the news due to his wholesome image, his pop songs or cavorting with his girlfriend, Disney star Selena Gomez.  However, in a shocking turn of events, the Bieber has made headlines due to alleged drunken incidents.

Mariah Yeater, 20, has filed a lawsuit against Justin Bieber – and her reason behind the suit can be summed up in the form of her 3-month-old son.  In her lawsuit papers, Yeater claims that Bieber is the father of her son, and is demanding his DNA to determine paternity of her child.  Naturally, Bieber has denied these allegations, and is even filing a countersuit against Yeater for defamation of character.

Yeater claims that Bieber’s bodyguards invited her backstage to meet the pop star at a concert.  When she got back there, Bieber allegedly told her she was pretty, and started to ply her with drinks.  Soon, the two were drunk, and they engaged in sexual intercourse.

Bieber fans are already up in arms about the claims, and have taken to Twitter to defend their celebrity crush.  Yeater’s family has also reported that death threats have been made against the mother.

We’ll be interested to see the outcome of this whole trial.  Although we’re certain that Bieber didn’t knock up Yeater, we can still make the following recommendations: don’t invite crazy fans backstage.  Ever.  And especially don’t do it when you’re drunk!

Could Drinking Be To Blame For Kim Kardashian’s Recent Divorce?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, then you’ve probably heard that Kim Kardashian and her husband of a whopping 72 days, Kris Humphries, are on the fast-path to divorce.  While the ubiquitous reality star cited “irreconcilable differences” on the legal papers, the Hollywood rumor mill is quick to point out the real reason why the two divorced: Kris’ constant partying and drinking.

Frequently seen living it up on the Miami and New York party circuit, gossip mags were quick to claim that his drinking quickly got on Kim’s nerves.  While the fame-hungry Kardashian was busy filming her reality series and launching her clothing line with her sisters, Kris could be seen chugging drinks and flirty with pretty women at the most exclusive clubs in the biggest cities.  It’s reported that Kris’ inability to work – as a result of the NBA lockout – started making Kim worry that he was going to party the night away.  And while she doesn’t have scruples about putting her image out there (in more ways than one), she apparently does have scruples about partying and drinking too much.

Here at Bytox, we have some advice for the soon-to-be-single Kris – you definitely lucked out here.  So grab a drink, slap on a Bytox patch to eliminate your hangovers and salute your return to bachelorhood and freedom.

Now we only wish that Bytox cured the hangover that results from seeing too much of the Kardashians in our Facebook feeds and news!

Bytox Celebrity News: Your Favorite Stars Caught Drunk

Bytox Celebrity News: Your Favorite Stars Caught Drunk

These days, it seems as though the biggest actors and actresses are finding their biggest roles involve stumbling out of the hottest nightclubs.  While we’re all for having a great time, we can’t help but think that maybe a Bytox patch would have helped these stars, most of which have been caught in recent weeks acting like drunk messes in public:

  1. Shia LeBeouf: He may be the star in one of the biggest odes to CGI of all time (“Transformers”), but that doesn’t mean Mr. LeBeouf can fight his way out of a drunken paper bag.  Just a few days ago, Shia was caught up in a public brawl on a sidewalk in Los Angeles with a shirtless heckler.  If you placed your bets on the shirtless dude, collect your winnings now.

  2.  Sandra Lee: She’s a staple on the Food Network, and she’s famous for making the kind of alcoholic beverages that even kids would want to partake in (“Drunk Root Beer”, anyone?).  But during the outtakes in her recent Halloween-themed episode, it’s clear to see that Ms. Lee was sampling the sauce – and not the kind in her semi-homemade pasta recipes.

  3.  Tara Reid:  Sure, we may be using the celebrity term loosely here – but when there’s drunk celebrity news to be had, you can be sure America’s favorite alcoholic will be there.  TMZ recently caught footage of a very incoherent Tara confessing that her marriage to Greek businessman was a sham.  Nothing goes great with a morning hangover like a serious dose of regret!

If you don’t want to end up like your favorite celebrities, then we recommend using Bytox – the ultimate hangover remedy patch in the industry today.

Bytox is a specially-formulated hangover remedy patch that effectively replenishes the vital levels of vitamins and acids lost when you consume alcohol.  By enhancing and restoring your body’s natural levels, Bytox reduces the physical effects of alcohol consumption.  And as Bytox is in patch form, there’s literally no hassle involved in getting rid of your hangover – just stick it on and get ready to enjoy the night of your life.

Hangover Tips in Time for Halloween

With Halloween quickly approaching, it’s time to buckle down and get ready to celebrate one of the biggest parties of the year.  But before you start imbibing in your Halloween beverages of choice, sit back and read these hangover tips – they’ll save you from feeling like you got more tricks than treats!

  1. Avoid mixed punch bowls.  Sure, serving up alcoholic beverages in a themed Halloween bowl is a fun party touch – but if you want to avoid a hangover, it’s best to steer clear of beverages where you don’t know how much has gone into it.  Make your own drinks or, if you’re out at a bar or club, watch the bartender make your drink so you know exactly how much you’re consuming.
  2.  Eat lots of Halloween treats while you’re out on the town.  If you happen to pick up loads of candy on your night out, don’t feel bad about eating a few – the fats in candy have been proven to help your body pass alcohol faster, leaving you with a hangover-free morning.  Just don’t fill up on candies that are made of 100% sugar, as these can make you feel drunker faster.
  3.  Avoid spooky drinks that are made with darker liquors.  Studies have shown that darker liquors have more congeners than lighter liquors – and when it comes to causing hangovers, you can definitely point a witch’s finger at congeners.  Choose drinks that have been made with lighter spirits, and you won’t feel like a monster when you wake up in the morning.

Finally, stay hydrated throughout the entire Halloween evening.  Between your alcoholic beverages and sweet treats, you’ll need plenty of water to keep your hangover at bay.  Be sure to alternate your alcoholic beverages with water or an electrolyte-heavy sports drink  – your hangover-free body will thank you for it in the morning.

If you want to enjoy a hangover-free Halloween holiday, there’s only one hassle-free solution that’s been proven to work: Bytox.

Bytox is a specially-formulated hangover remedy patch that effectively replenishes the vital levels of vitamins and acids lost when you consume alcohol.  By enhancing and restoring your body’s natural levels, Bytox reduces the physical effects of alcohol consumption.  And as Bytox is in patch form, there’s literally no hassle involved in getting rid of your hangover – just stick it on and get ready to enjoy a terrifyingly fun Halloween evening!

Hangover News: Utah Theater Fined For Showing Hangover 2

Here at Bytox, we pride ourselves on helping our clients enjoy nights out without suffering from hangover consequences in the morning.  That’s why whenever we encounter hangover news, we can’t help but wonder if the consequences would be a bit different if a Bytox patch was involved – like this story straight out of Utah.

A movie theater in Salt Lake City was recently fined $1,600 for showing “Hangover 2” – despite the fact that they have a liquor license.

According to local sources, the movie theater was fined due to a strange state law which insists that any establishments that display nudity are not allowed to serve alcohol.  Therefore, the movie theater, which only admits 21-year-olds to the establishment, was fined because “Hangover 2” features full-front female and male nudity, and even a few appearances from a transvestite.

The law was originally designed to help keep strip clubs in check, although because the movie theater has  a liquor license, they came under fire from the state liquor board in late September.  Patrons and owners of the movie theater are up in arms about the fine and planning to appeal to the board.

At Bytox, we find it a bit strange that the state liquor board would focus its energy on fining a movie theater, rather than focusing on strip clubs, where the law would undoubtedly have more of an effective.  But regardless, the “Hangover 2” is harmless fun – we think the state liquor board should slap on a Bytox patch, have a few beers and enjoy themselves!
